After Hyrum was murdered in Carthage Jail, his widow gave their some some profound council. Their son, Joseph F. Smith, followed the council of his mother every day for the rest of his life. That council, is as applicable to all of us today as it was then to a grieving six year old boy in Nauvoo.

Joseph Smith History: verse 4
With the exception of Emma, the people who knew Joseph Smith better than anyone would have been his parents and his siblings. The stories of Father and Mother Smith are well known, but what do we know about Joseph’s siblings and their testimony of their prophet brother? What role did they play in the Restoration? Did any of them go West to Utah?
Joseph Smith History: verses 1-3
The Joseph Smith History found in the Pearl of Great Price is full of truth and testimony. Each verse provides facts pertaining to the events of the Restoration. But found in other journals and histories are stories behind these facts. There are stories that support and give greater insight to the truths and testimony of the prophet. I am going to tell those stories. I’ll take one verse at a time and tell you of the circumstances surrounding the details contained in each verse. This is the first video. This covers verses 1-3 of the Joseph Smith History.
