This week in Beyond Come Follow Me, I tell some of my most favorite stories from Church History! In these sections, the Lord reminds Joseph Smith of the commandment to build the Kirtland Temple. The Lord send many miracles to help the Saints build the temple. The Kirtland Temple stands today as a monument of their faith and love of Heavenly Father and the Savior.

In the lesson heading, we are told, “Whatever limitations we may see in ourselves, Heavenly Father and His Son see something glorious in us”. In this video, I share three stories from Church History that illustrate this point. Plus, the second half of the Section can encourage us to press on in our “home-centered” gospel learning.

The final results are in for our 1,000,000 Indexing Challenge! Joseph Smith taught that Section 88 teaches us “how to prepare ourselves for the great things that God is about to bring to pass”. The depth of doctrine contained in this Sections is incredible. I’ll share with you the historical stories which were happening at the time the revelation was received, plus some thoughts on a few points of doctrine.
