Elijah is a big deal! Not only did he perform miracles in the Old Testament, but he also played a role of the Restoration. Moroni told Joseph Smith to expect Elijah to come. He did come to the Kirtland Temple and gave Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery priesthood keys.
