The stories from the Old Testament this week mirror so many stories from Church History. The Lord truly is the same “yesterday, today, and forever”. I share those stories and how they can help us draw closer to the Savior today.

The ancient Israelites needed a “willing heart” before receiving the fullness of the temple blessings. The same is true today. The construction and purpose of the ancient tabernacle mirrors our the purpose of our modern temples. Plus, I share some stories from Church History about the Nauvoo Temple.
Beyond Come Follow Me: Exodus 24, 31-34
This week we find that ancient Israel feel into a trap that Latter-day leaders warn us about today. We don’t worship golden calves, but not focusing enough on the Lord can lead to danger. Gratefully, the Lord has shown us, through these Old Testament stories, how to turn to Him and receive of his grace despite our shortcomings.
Beyond Come Follow Me: Exodos 18-20
The Lord prepares the people of Israel for the Ten Commandments. This preparation is the same way the Lord prepares us to receive and accept doctrine, commandments, and even change to policy. Learning how ancient Israel responded to the Lord’s commandments can help make it easier for Latter-day Israel to do the same. Plus, recent words from President Nelson reiterate the importance of what is taught in this week’s Come Follow Me lessons.
Easter: He Lives
This week we study the resurrection of Jesus Christ in our Come Follow Me Lessons. In this video, I share a few stories from Church History of people who saw the resurrected Lord.
