This week in our Come Follow Me lessons, we say goodbye to Moses. But, Moses did return! He appeared to Joseph Smith in the Kirtland Temple. Moses bestowed upon Joseph the Keys of the Gathering of Israel. Each of us as Latter-day Saints have a personal connection to this event from Church History. Not only have we as members of the Church been gathered in as members, but because the Key which Joseph received from Moses is now held by President Nelson, we can now participate in the final gathering of Israel. Our participation, under the direction of the Key holder, provides us with access to power and authority to help in the work of gathering!

Beyond Come Follow Me: Exodus 24, 31-34
This week we find that ancient Israel feel into a trap that Latter-day leaders warn us about today. We don’t worship golden calves, but not focusing enough on the Lord can lead to danger. Gratefully, the Lord has shown us, through these Old Testament stories, how to turn to Him and receive of his grace despite our shortcomings.
Beyond Come Follow Me: Exodos 18-20
The Lord prepares the people of Israel for the Ten Commandments. This preparation is the same way the Lord prepares us to receive and accept doctrine, commandments, and even change to policy. Learning how ancient Israel responded to the Lord’s commandments can help make it easier for Latter-day Israel to do the same. Plus, recent words from President Nelson reiterate the importance of what is taught in this week’s Come Follow Me lessons.
