The Lord’s promises to ancient Israel are the same to Latter-day Israel. The teachings in this chapter can help us better understand how to draw near to the Lord despite our trials or our weaknesses.

The story of Joseph in Egypt continues this week with Joseph being reunited with his brothers and father. 22 years have past and a remarkable change has occurred with Joseph’s brothers during that time. A change that could only be brought about through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. This story illustrates what the Savior can do for each of us in our own daily lives as we turn to him. Plus, I share a story from Church History which I believe provides a perfect example of how the atonement works in satisfying justice while still extending grace.
