The Saints are now in Nauvoo and the Lord has instructed them to build a temple. This week, I share some stories of those who worked on the temple, supported the temple efforts, and the miraculous events that led to the rebuilding of the Nauvoo Temple in 2002. Plus, hear how prophecy given to an individual in 1838 might be coming to pass today.

These revelations came while Joseph Smith and others where in Liberty Jail. Incarcerated on false charges, and having endured years of torment, the prophet finds peace in the Savior during his trials and persecutions.

Difficulties in the Church led to the revelations known as Doctrine and Covenants 111 – 114. First, the Church was in financial trouble but the Lord brought peace to Joseph while traveling to Salem, Massachusetts. Then, with the ongoing troubles in Missouri, the President of the Quorum of the Twelve seeks to know how he can best serve in His calling. These Sections remind us that despite worldly cares, problems, and the disheartening choices of others, the Lord remains in control and His work will still fill the Earth.

The Kirtland Temple is dedicated! After years of sacrifice, hope, and faith, the Saints attend the dedicatory services of the Kirtland Temple where many witness divine manifestations throughout the service. Later, as recorded in Section 110, the Savior appears and accepts the dedication. Three ancient apostles also appear to confer the Keys of the Priesthood. Now, all of Heavenly Father’s children can be recipients of his eternal blessings.
