In this week’s episode of Beyond Come Follow Me, I tell the story of Ezra Booth. He, and others in Kirtland, were led away from the Church. The Lord addresses their apostacy and teaches us how to avoid similar spiritual pitfalls.

Some men who had been called to go with Joseph to Missouri were now being called back to Kirtland. The Lord admonishes them to be faithful to the commandment to preach the gospel to all those they meet.

Here I tell some interesting stories about their journey back to Kirtland, and some stories of those first healed by the power of the priesthood.

The Missouri Experience begins!

The Lord directs Joseph Smith to go to Missouri, and to take others along with him. The Lord reveals to Joseph that a temple will be built, and He will gather His people to this place. Those that traveled with Joseph are given specific assignments to help establish Zion in Missouri.

In this video, I share the personal stories of these men which stand as testimonies to their faith in the work.

Section 49 seems like it is full of random tidbits of doctrine. But, when you know the full story as to why the Lord revealed Section 49, and the fascinating story of what happened after the revelation was received, it becomes clear as to why the Lord made the points he did for those early Saints and for us today.
